Green Lantern Mosaic Figure Debuted
on July 9, 2015
San Diego Comic-Con has begun and there is already good news for Green Lantern John Stewart fans. DC unveiled their line of collectibles for 2016 and a figure based on John Stewart’s Cully Hamner designed Green Lantern: Mosaic uniform was shown as part of the DC Icons line. The figure looks really good. One of the things I like is that it comes with a choice of either gloved or bare hands. John Stewart removing his white gloves actually has symbolic importance in Mosaic, but I think he looks silly without them, as if there’s a glaring aspect of his design that was left incomplete, so it’s great that buyers will have the option to have them on.
I really hope that this is a prelude to the Green Lantern: Mosaic series being collected in trade paperback, along with Green Lantern Vol. 3 #14-17, which the Mosaic series spun out from. Those issues really should have been collected a long time ago, as Mosaic is one of the best Green Lantern stories around, not to mention one of John’s most important showcases.
DC Collectibles has released a short commercial to advertise some of their upcoming figures. You can find John at the 0:15 mark.
Speaking of action figures, the Green Lantern John Stewart New 52 figure is now available, so be sure to pick it up! Remember, support John Stewart’s products to help ensure that we keep getting more of them.
