As John Stewart and his team try to root out the criminal network that has overtaken the homeworld of Lantern Feska, they discover the planet is imperiled by a far darker, deadlier force. An enemy with an ancient hatred of the Corps. An enemy that seeks to cast all the universe into shadow.

It’s nice to hear that we’ll be catching up with the recruits again. I also look forward to seeing more of Feska’s planet Zarox. I’m also curious to see what this cult like Shadow Empire has to do with the criminal circuit of Shadow Markets.

Pick this one up in February!

Oa, by the way

The digital first series Smallville Season Eleven, by writer Bryan Q. Miller with cover art by Cat Staggs, is coming to a close with the storyline titled “Continuity.” John Stewart is featured prominently and proudly on the cover. Take a look.

I am a fan of the “Lantern” arc. You can find my reviews for it here. I’m very happy that John is the Green Lantern of the Smallville universe. ComicbookResources.Com held an interview with Miller and Staggs about their milestone run.

This article is just stoking my fears about Godhead: http://www.newsarama.com/22796-hal-jordan-to-return-to-the-justice-league-for-darkseid-war.html

I have had the impression that they will promote John to Corps leader while Hal returns to earth, only to be further associated with the Justice League. F*ck. F*CK.

I really hope that’s not the case. I will drop every DC book if John is not the main GL–especially on film, which is more tied to the comics than ever.

    • Steve Rogers

I was going to post this as well. It sucks if true. I also been hearing a lot of negative feedback with Hal’s character when he was in the N52 JL books. The same can be said for Hal’s appearance in JL:War.

It’s good to see some other people from other sites having mixed feelings about Hal’s (supposedly) return.

      • Steve Rogers

If Hal’s confirmed to be in the JL movie, when you think about it, I believe other celebrities out there will be severely disappointed by it as well. I’m sure Dwayne Johnson will be upset

    • Desh Derringer

I don’t believe John will be appointed to Corps Leader. I think the Templar Guardians will return as leaders. As for the article, we just have to sit back and see what happens. But as long as Geoff Johns is writing Justice League, don’t expect John Stewart to be the Green Lantern on that team.

      • Steve Rogers

I think the only way for Johns to have John as the GL in the JL, higher ups would have to force him to put John Stewart as an active member, but then again Geoff Johns would probably disagree and leave the book if it comes to that (I think he would go that far), since he’s such a huge Hal fan.

Johns is the biggest fear when it comes to highly potential minority characters.

        • Desh Derringer

Yeah, the higher ups would have to force Geoff Johns to put John Stewart on the team. I also think Johns would leave before using John Stewart. Geoff Johns is an absolute menace. I wish he’d go away, or something.

If DC/WB doesn’t use John Stewart as the main GL in the cinematic universe, I think I might bail on them completely, too. Why should anyone who likes minority characters be a fan when those characters are forever held back for the White ones, even when some of those White ones fail and the minorities succeed?

And I won’t accept Cyborg, or anyone else. That is John Stewart’s spot. He’s earned it, he deserves it, he’s continually shown himself worthy of it. John Stewart or I walk. And I won’t walk quietly if it comes to that.
