Green Lantern Corps #29 Preview

on March 7, 2014

The preview for Green Lantern Corps #29 is out. Green Lantern John Stewart finds himself on the planet Muz accompanied by a gang of galactic ex-cons as they try to bring the former Green Lantern Von Daggle to their side in the developing Durlan War. Which side will Von Daggle choose? Will he even choose a side? The preview looks as great as ever. Check it out right here.
Green Lantern Corps #29 is due out on March 12th.

Things have been a bit quiet at greenlantern.co, but that’s because I’ve been working in the shadows on something huge. Quite possibly the most in-depth retrospective of the hit cartoon show Justice League is coming soon. At last, greenlantern.co is going to tackle John Stewart’s most famous showing to date. Be here to see it!

Oa, by the way

The Escapist Magazine reveals what they want to see from a Justice League movie, and Green Lantern John Stewart is one of the key features. They bring up a good point, which is that the larger general audience isn’t as familiar with Hal Jordan as they are John Stewart, despite Green Lantern: The Animated Series and the Green Lantern movie, which star Hal Jordan, and neither of which were successes.

There are Hal Jordan fans who will tell you Jordan is the most famous Green Lantern, but they are the exact people who do not represent the general audience. If you were to view debates online involving Hal Jordan and John Stewart, you may see that Hal Jordan fans are usually well represented, but that’s because such debates oftentimes take place in arenas where hardcore comic fans dwell. The general audience does not inhabit such places, but that does not mean they don’t have an opinion on who they’d rather see as Green Lantern. What’s even more is that Hal Jordan does not often win the polls asking what Green Lantern fans would rather see, even among the hardcore comic fans.

I’m with the fellows from The Escapist all the way. Check out the video right here.
A special thanks to Hudson Faber for bringing the video to my attention.

Thanks a lot for the support. It’s going to be really good, and the largest article on the site to date!

The show didn’t do too badly. I liked John Stewart in the cartoon but I think that Hal, Alan, and Kyle are just as worthy.

Regarding the video from escapistmagazine — 110% agree on Amanda Waller. We need Amanda ‘The Wall’ Waller. Not that young skinny thing in The New52. The version we got in JLU was perfect. Love CCH Pounder.
